What kind of make-up should I wear? [pic included]?

I'm terribly w/ makeup, and am just as bad at applying. I've got a very pale complextion, brown eyes, and dark blonde hair. What kind of make-up should I used w/out looking making myself look sick?

[Sidenote: Tips on how to apply make-up would be nice, especially on big eyelids]

Heres a link to my Myspace pics, so you can see what I actually look like....[Be gentle, I'm no looker]:

Hello,

I am a Mary Kay sales director so thought I would give you alittle imput. With brown eyes you can wear pretty much any eye color that you would like. Pinks, purples, greens and browns would look great as long as they aren't too dark since you seem to be fair skinned.

I don't see an acne scars on your picture but we have great concealer and I would go with a liquid foundation because powder or creme to powder foundations can sometimes give you a "cakey" look if your skin isn't smooth. We also have a couple of products that can reduce the appearance of the scars (microdermabrasion and even complexion essense.)

Go to my website ( www.marykay.com/kmicek) and you can look at all of the products and also do a virtual make-over to help you with colors and application tips. If you are wanting to try any of the products please let me know and I can get them in the mail to you within 24 hours of receiving your request. I have several different sample color cards that include and entire color look (3 eye-colors, blush, lip gloss) that you can try and there are pictures to show you how to apply it if you're interested.

Good luck :)

You look like your skin is okay and pretty flawless, you probley should wear something that is very very light and perhaps for acne scars you can use a heavier powder instead of foundation..

I would suggest Covergirl...they have a wide selection and its really inexpensive...good luck

Alright, I think Mary Kay is worth the money, I'm not the best looking either, but I look really pretty with their help. I'd try smoky grays with beige highlights, maybe golds and browns too. Nobody is limited to certain things, try anything! For my pimples, I use foundation as a creme, then top it with the glass bottle kind. I get waaay better coverage.

Makeup. Makeup!? Didn't that go out with the last group of women who were trying to impress other women? The year 1999? A responsible dermatologist would be able to give you makeup tricks if you cannot afford dermabrasion. Really though, self-confidence, becoming comfortable with who you are is life-long. Makeup satisfies the "instant statisfaction" craze. What will you do when you're 40 and you still have the same face, the same eyes, the same nose, the same cheekbones? You're gorgeous the way you are!

Make-up for Fair Skin

If you're fair-skinned, sheer colors look best on you. Apply light earth tones and soft pastels, such as blue and lavender to accent your eyes.

Various shades of pink will look good on your eyes, cheeks and lips. Keep your mascara to brown or brown/black. Light, sheer lipstick adds a finishing touch. Peach is always a good choice for our fair-skinned friends, it looks natural and compliments blonde hair.

Pimple Preventive Maintenance

Keep your face clean and don't overscrub it. This will only irritate your skin and make you more prone to breakouts. Wash your face twice a day with antibacterial soap, three times a day for acne prone skin. To avoid aggravating pimples, stay away from harsh soaps and fragrances.

To avoid transferring bacteria and germs, clean your pillowcase, washcloths, towels, make-up brushes and applicators frequently. Try washing your make-up applicators in antibacterial soap or clarifying shampoo. Keep your hair clean and out of your face. Along the same line, keep your phone mouthpiece and writing instruments away from your chin and clean them often.

Avoid wearing heavy make-up and always wash it off before going to bed. Buy make-up specifically designed for your skin type and throw it away after it's expiration date.

Wash your hands frequently and make a conscious effort to avoid touching your face during the daytime hours. This is when you're most likely to do it and you may not realize that it's a habit.

Any correlation to diet and blemishes is a myth. There is no proof that greasy food and sugar will cause your skin to break out, however too much junk food can lead to health problems down the road -- so keep your diet healthy.

It's best to keep your anxiety level down and get your beauty rest. When you're under stress, do not neglect your skin care routine. Take the time for preventive maintenance or your pimples will return with a vengeance.

Stop Pimples and Blemishes

Acne prone people are still going to experience pimples and blemishes, even after the best skin care routine. After they appear, knowing how to get rid of them quickly and sensibly reduces your chance of scarring.

Use the preventive maintenance above, along with some pimple drying techniques to shorten the life of your blemishes and breakouts.

If your skin is oily, use an over the counter cleanser that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to start the drying process. If you're experiencing one of those painful "under the skin, cystic" pimples, put a warm compress on it to drain it first, then dry it up with benzoyl peroxide. Sometimes putting a small piece of tape on your blemish overnight will help draw out the fluid and infection.

Another overnight home remedy for zapping a zit is to put a dab of toothpaste on it to help dry it out. You may need to test this on a short-term basis to make sure it doesn't irritate your pimple. Calamine lotion will have the same drying effect.

It's not recommended to squeeze a pimple, but the jury is still out. While doing this makes you more prone to scarring and skin discolorations, sometimes it's the only fast way to drain it. If you're at the point where you feel the need to squeeze, consult your dermatologist for treatment.

If blemishes persist, scarring needs to be prevented and there are many useful products to put a stop to recurring acne and pimples. If your blemish is gone and you have some discoloration but no scar, don't fret. Chances are, it will fade with time.

Reduce the Appearance of Blemishes %26amp; Spots

Quick-fixes to reduce the appearance and redness of your pimples can get you through the day. To lessen the swelling, some people swear that hemorrhoid cream will do the trick overnight. Or, try putting an ice cube on the spot for a couple of minutes before applying your make-up in the morning.

To get rid of the redness, use eye drops specifically made to reduce the redness in your eyes, (like Visene.) Give it some time so work and cover your blemish with a concealer stick and a dab of pressed powder.

If your attending an important event such as a wedding, your dermatologist can give you a cortisone injection 24 hours before the event to quick-start the healing process.

How to Cover Flaws with Makeup

Since nobody is perfect, we all have what we consider either minor or major flaws we'd rather not have. Surgery is not your only option to achieve the look you want. Makeup is indeed the best and cheapest way to camouflage imperfections and cover flaws.

Redness, Blotchiness, Spots

Foundation is the cure-all for evening out skin tone and hiding pimples. For extra smooth skin, start with clean, dry skin. Apply a light moisturizer such as Neutrogena anti-wrinkle cream which soaks up and dries quickly.

Apply a cream formula foundation evenly with a wet sponge. Yes, you can use your fingers, as long as they're clean. This often helps the makeup look more natural. Blend in thoroughly. If needed, you can apply a second layer of foundation after the first dries. Set with loose translucent powder. If you use concealer for extra coverage on dark spots and blemishes, apply this after foundation, but before the powder.

Scars, Port Wine Stains, Birthmarks, Rosacea

Sometimes foundation doesn't cover the flaw completely. There are many products on the market designed specifically to cover up scars and port wine birthmarks. Dermablendé–³?is a favorite and is not limited to your face. Whichever brand you choose, a waterproof formula is ideal, not only for a rainy day, but for hot and humid weather.

The trick is to choose the shade that is closest to your skin tone. If your skin is darker in the summer months, you may need to have a darker shade on hand. Don't be reluctant to blend as this can be the best way to find the perfect shade.

I hope this helps but your skin looks beautiful in your pictures...give yourself some credit you are a pretty girl... :)

Okay, first things first... Girl, YOU ARE GORGEOUS!!! Say it with me now, like ya mean it!!! Really!!!

I would only wear some mascara and a touch of lip gloss... If you are nervous about your complexion, try a little bare minerals to even it out, with a touch of a pinky colored blush on your cheeks (think of the shade your face turns when you get embarassed, best to stay away from browns or oranges or purples and stuff) ... I use this little routine and I think it works beautifully!!! You will love Bare Minerals and get tons of compliments on your "skin"!

P.S.

YOU ARE SO PRETTY!!!

What kind of make-up should I wear? [pic included]?

weLL.. anyways...

For your:

EYES - Put on some eye shadow (blue, violet or green).

Add a LITTLE AMOUNT body glitter in the base of your eyes.

CHEEKS - apply red cheek tint.

LIPS - red or pink lip gloss may work.

First of all I want to add that you are a very pretty girl and you should not underestimate your looks. You should go with a lightweight foundation(Flawless Xpert by Mark) and with brown eyes most colors would compliment them. Browns, pinks, greens would be very pretty. Try using a mousse blush in a natural toned color just to give your cheeks a pretty soft looks and use a tinted lipgloss. Don't overdo the makeup thing, I think too many girls apply way too much makeup. You would look great with just a few natural colors to bring out your pretty features. Any questions email me
